Goat Farming: Industry Overview
Goat farming is a growing business that focuses on raising goats for their meat, milk, and fiber. Known for their hardiness and low-cost care, goats are a popular livestock option for farmers worldwide. The demand for goat meat (chevon) and goat milk continues to rise, making goat farming a sustainable and profitable business. Goats are also raised for their fiber, such as cashmere and mohair, used in textiles.
